| I had just about given up finding "Mr. Right" and had only been on Match.com for 3 months when one late night on Feb. 3 2004, I got an email from him. I wasn't going to reply at first because I was on the brink of accepting my single status and I noticed he lived 180 miles away, but he was so sincere and honest with his words that I had to write back and hope for the best.
We emailed for a week and talked for a week everyday before we had our first date on Valentine's Day. He drove 3 hours and arrived with 18 roses (yellow, white and pink), white chocolate candies and the most welcoming smile that I'll never forget. We had incredible conversation and couldn't stop staring into each other's eyes.
It felt so natural to be around him that I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else. We knew from our first conversation that we wanted to be with each other forever.
Last week, Aug. 14 2004, we celebrated our 6th month anniversary and everyday we celebrate our love. I never thought I'd find true love online - and people still are shocked when they hear how we met. To see us together, you'd think we've known each other for hundreds of years. Somehow, I believe that we have.
